We are looking for the best Construction Office Manager/Controller professional in the area to join our team.
*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* * Work directly with the President & management staff to develop and implement improvements in new and existing processes and procedures.
* Access review, and maintain all company-related financial information.
* Oversee and manage job costing, invoicing, and general accounting methods and procedures.
* Ensure that all accounting records are produced and maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial practices are followed and adhered to as they relate to the Construction Industry.
* Coordinate, prepare, and review accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and accounting reports.
* Provide financial and cost analysis, financial metrics, budget reports, risk management and financial and government reporting.
* Develop annual & quarterly budgets and forecasts.
* Recommend and help develop financial policies, procedures, systems and other requirements to help facilitate growth.
* Analyze WIP’s with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with project budgets.
Issue regular status to Project Managers.
* Conduct financial planning and risk management.
* Coordinate, prepare, and manage all tax schedules, tax returns, related tax information, tax planning, and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
* Oversee the accessing and processing of all payroll and personnel information.
* Monitor employee reimbursables, payroll reports, and time off reports.
* Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
* Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth.
* Coordinate and solicit renewal pricing for external service providers such as insurance (vehicle, health, general liability, and builders’ risk), IT services, accounting & estimating software, janitorial, and employee benefits.
* Oversee, train, and counsel designated office staff.
Ensure employees work productively and handle necessary employee relations/performance issues and concerns.
* Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
*Education, Experience, And Skills Required* * 7 plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, from an accredited institution.
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred.
* Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), preferred.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines.
* Experience in a service business with activity-based project costing.
* Demonstrated advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial practices related to the Construction industry.
* Understanding or advanced accounting, job cost analysis, State and Federal contracts and tax planning.
* Strong strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting experience.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
* Ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time.
* Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
* Ability to lead, coach, and mentor staff.
* Must have a valid driver’s license & pass driving record screening.
* Must pass criminal background check.
* Authorized to work in the United States (required).
