About the Role: As a Repossession Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting customers whose delinquent accounts are over 60 days past due.
While managing an assigned portfolio and making repossession recommendations, you will also be accountable for achieving the lowest possible delinquency and charge-off ratios.
Our Repossession Specialists are key in helping the company achieve desired financial outcomes as defined by client objectives.
Our clients included some of the largest financial institutions and automotive finance companies in the United States!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and document the status of accounts and initiate telephone contact with customers and repossession agents
Consumer data entry
Impound repossession handling
Prepare correspondences on delinquent accounts requiring special handling, including contacting members by USPS mail, certified, or email.
Establish and monitor payment plans
Review and make recommendations for repossessions.
Adhere to all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to the job functions
Answer incoming customer or vendor communications (i.
e.
, phone, emails, faxes, etc.
)
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be available to work Monday-Friday 10:30 am – 7 pm Eastern
High school diploma or GED
Available to work Monday - Friday 10:30 - 7 pm Eastern
Minimum two (2) years of collections experience in a high-volume call center environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proven ability to generate successful contact with past-due customers
Intermediate proficiency with Windows-based software programs (i.
e.
MS Word, Excel)
Solid analytical and multi-tasking skills that result in solid decision-making skills and time management
Easily manage through change
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior credit reporting experience preferred
