Finance - onsite in Bismarck, ND - Accounts Receivable Specialist
Keep North Dakota Health and Human Services’ day-to-day payments current as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
In this position, you will be part of the Finance team that supports Health and Human Services.
Each day, you will receive and code incoming payments for deposit.
Then you’ll enter the details into our accounting software and prepare the daily deposit.
You’ll reconcile the transactions and deposits to ensure everything was accurately entered.
You will also be responsible for processing refunds or returned payments, as well as preparing ACH and wire transfer deposits.
To be a successful Accounts Receivable Specialist, you need to get the details right.
You will need to focus on the task at hand so the work can be completed on time.
You must also accept that change is a constant and welcome the exciting changes that may occur for the position over time.
Furthermore, you are a team player who is willing to fill the gaps some days and to accept help on other days.
To be considered for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
High school diploma or GED, plus
Work experience entering data accurately in a computer system, generating reports from the system, and creating and maintaining electronic files
You may or may not have experience with PeopleSoft software or with accounts receivables/payables, and that’s okay.
If you are a quick learner and like taking on new responsibilities, we’ll train you.
Location: This position is onsite at the North Dakota State Capital in Bismarck.
