TAG Firearms, a high-end Bismarck based firearms store, is seeking an Accountant to oversee the daily functions of both our online and store-front sales.
The position will also provide support for compliance, customer service, and our sales team.
Previous experience in the firearms industry is not required.
TAG is willing to train the selected individual.
A full-time position is preferred, but a part-time role of 28-30 hours/week would also be considered.
BOOKKEEPING & ACCOUNTING (45%): * Managing all aspects of Quickbooks Online for invoicing, PO’s, and expenses * Monthly, quarterly, and yearly compliance filing * Manage payroll and associated accruals * Monthly bank, CC, and trial balance reconciliations * Daily Ecom and Retail imports into Quickbooks * File applicable information returns * Managing 3rd party payment processing INVENTORY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE (20%): * Ensuring strict ATF compliance, which includes logging serialized items as they arrive, checking items out of our system to the appropriate party (B2B transactions), or assisting local customers with transfers out of inventory via a 4473.
* Counting & confirming inventory as it arrives * Facilitating scheduled inventory counts for both serialized and non-serialized items * Assist and coordinate shipping of outgoing items * Run and analyze inventory aging reports * Maintain labeling and bin location system for all inventory * Regularly review centralized inventory system for accurate counts and pricing adjustments CUSTOMER SERVICE (20%): * Field phone calls and emails for general inquiries, phone payments, and ecommerce issues * Schedule appointments with customers for in-store transactions/transfers/purchases * Assist in-store customers with applications and transfer paperwork through our electronic systems OTHER (15%): * Assist with general maintenance of the showroom, office, and warehouse * Maintain accurate website descriptions and photos * Accounting for related party entity SCHEDULE & LOCATION * Monday through Friday 8-5 * Office setting, one location REQUIREMENTS * Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the position * Proficiency in MS Word/Excel * Strong organizational skills * The ability to maintain and protect confidentiality * Proficiency in typing and 10 key * Resume with three (3) professional references * Ability to pass a background check * Official transcripts PREFERRED SKILLS * 3 years administrative/office experience in a professional setting * 1 year retail experience * Ability to think innovatively and desire to improve existing processes * Experience with QuickBooks Online Pay & Benefits: * Paid Holidays * Pay $20-$25/hr DOE * PTO * Company IRA Contributions * Health Benefits Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
