Automotive Technician - Mechanic Responsibilities:
Receive and carry out Repair Orders as dispatched by Service Manager
Perform high quality and efficient repair service in accordance with Center and Factory standards
Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs
Repair gas and diesel engines and transmissions
Road-test repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete
Communicate directly and efficiently with Service Manager and Parts Manager
Participate in continual GM proprietary training/education programs to hone skills and develop expertise in industry-leading Chevrolet automotive technologies and processes
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Employers' values in all interactions
Automotive Technician - Mechanic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Automotive Technical training or Trade School degree strongly preferred
3-5 years hands-on work experience as Automotive Technician in a reputable shop environment
Valid Driver's License
Strong Mechanical & Electrical diagnostic aptitude and hands on skill required
Excellent Customer Service skills required
Candidate must have their own basic automotive tool set
ASE Certifications strongly considered, but not applicable to GM Certification process
Pre-employment testing; including drug, background, and motor vehicle reports
Job Type: Full-time / weekends off (unless needed)
