The Training & Development Coordinator shall, develop, implement, and continually improve
the KMM corporate training program as appropriate to KMM needs.
To achieve success the KMM Training & Development Coordinator will: 1.
Ensure that all KMM training plans determine the necessary competence for personnel performing work effecting conformity to the product.
2.
Ensure that where formal training is not available, other effective actions are taken to achieve the necessary competence, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken.
3.
Ensure that personnel being trained at all levels are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives 4.
Maintain appropriate records of education, training, skills, and experience per KMM's documented procedures and AS9100C requirements.
5.
Be responsible for developing, coordinating and when necessary, conducting training for employees in all departments throughout each KMM location 6.
Perform complex work in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing company- wide training programs and services applying 6 levels of thinking/learning, and 7.
Develop and evaluate training methods and curriculum content based upon employee productivity and FPY immediately upon entering the daily work force and 8.
Create a standard report to present or send to key personnel to include statistics, goals, actions items, successes, struggles, issues, etc.
It is expected that KMM Training & Development Coordinator will spend roughly: 9.
20% of their time working with all KMM Program Managers, Directors, Coordinators, Trainers, Team Leads, and Operators to identify training needs 10.
40% of their time to work with trainers to develop specific trainings and curriculum that meet customer requirements 11.
40% of their time should be working to improve the teaching skills of anyone who will teach/ facilitate/ mentor any part of the KMM program (trainers, mentors, subject matter experts, etc.
) This position requires an understanding of the importance of the function and that they are representing KMM through their daily interactions and as such it is an expectation that they will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, be respectful and responsive and follow all the KMM policies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Oversees the research, development, and delivery of a comprehensive company-wide program of training courses for all KMM employees 2.
Collaborate with PMs, Directors, Coordinators, and the Training Department to: design/develop a training program that ties required training to job descriptions, AS9100C, 3rd party auditing, internal audits, and customer requirements a.
Develop new training programs.
Program development would include designing/building training modules, with accompanying instructor and participant work guides b.
Implement structured on the job training (SOJT) programs c.
Implement structured mentoring programs d.
Revisions of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.
Work to develop a system that measures production employee skills the day they begin work on the floor which reflects the progress and effectiveness of training e.
Design and distribution of surveys, interviews and questionnaires for conducting training needs assessments 3.
Develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing training programs including "Use of Dynamics" training 4.
Supervise subordinates' activities and work product by delegation, performance evaluation, disciplinary action and conflict resolution 5.
Demonstrate leadership, guidance, motivation, counseling and/or discipline to contract staff, subject matter experts or participants.
6.
Oversees standard employee training in both in-classroom and On-The-Job settings 7.
Communicate with diverse audiences (e.
g.
, employees, customers, 3rd party auditors, etc.
) to provide information and clarification regarding training programs, documentation,, policies, and procedures 8.
Remain current in job specific procedures in order to apply the most appropriate methods by attending conferences, educational programs and seminars, reading professional publications, using the Internet, and participating in professional organizations 9.
Direct the review and selection of training materials and if necessary, acquire copyright clearances in order to obtain the highest quality source materials to ensure AS9100C and Customer Compliance 10.
Supervises the design, development and implementation of the conversion of traditional training materials to alternate learning formats (e.
g.
, computer assisted instruction, Webcast delivery, video streaming, Intranet, etc.
) 11.
Ensures training record keeping and documentation is up to date, accurate, and properly documented as defined in AS9100C 12.
Supports company LEAN program by participating in LEAN events and lean trainings 13.
Work collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities; and adapt training needs for individuals with various learning styles 14.
Continually identify opportunities for training process improvements 15.
Follow work rules and standard safety regulations at all times 16.
Maintain safe working practice's and insure training area is 5sed 17.
Develop long-range, intermediate, and short term goals to develop and implement successful training programs and projects for all KMM employees 18.
Budget preparation and fiscal management to develop and administer a budget 19.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by job task.

The Training Coordinator on a weekly basis will physically visit and spend time at each KMM manufacturing facility to access training and development needs of each facility.

Adhere to all KMM safety policies and practices as well as manufacturer recommendations on operation of all equipment and tools 22.
