Summary: The primary function of this position is to provide price quotes for services and products to TMI customers by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties
Gain knowledge of industry standards, trade association references and terminology through training
Monitor lead services, virtual plan rooms and estimating schedules
Review bid documents to determine scope of work, vendor participation and bid strategy
Perform estimate takeoff from architectural blueprints, specifications, and customer direction
Coordinate bid review with management
Produce price quotes, proposals, bid forms, and bid letters
Communicate pricing, lead time, and delivery information to customers
Conduct required follow up with dealers, owners, general contractors, or construction managers
Enter orders and transition the projects to engineering, customer services, and project management
Travels to customer offices when necessary

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of three years related field experience and/or training.
Knowledge of architectural blueprints and specification is essential.
Helpful experience would include construction trades, casework and millwork, jobsite protocol, and customer relations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
