Highway Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance on highways, including repairing potholes, cracks, and other pavement issues.
Safely operate a commercial vehicle while delivering material to a destination while following all raod safety rules and regulations.
Clear snow, ice, and other debris from roadways using appropriate equipment and techniques during winter months.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, guardrails, and other safety devices.
Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential hazards or repair needs.
Respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance in the event of accidents or road obstructions.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate with other team members to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements: Prior experience as a Highway Maintenance Worker or similar role is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles.
Working knowledge of road maintenance and repair techniques.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergencies outside of regular hours if necessary.
