Pay:
This is a full time hourly/non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $16.
80 - $31.

Location/Travel Requirements: 100% Travel Required throughout the MidWest
Job Summary
An Equipment Operator’s primary responsibility is to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately using construction equipment such as: skid steers, mini/midsize excavators, rubber-tire backhoe, small/large dozer, small/large cable plow, rocksaw, small/midsize trenchers, midsize/large Vac truck and trailers, small/midsize bore machines, with experience operating this equipment around existing utilities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it
Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order
Driving or controlling equipment to complete tasks at the construction site
Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly
Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying their Supervisor if maintenance is past due
Filling out performance records to report problems with equipment and track where and when it was used
Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste
Completing minor repair work as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
At least 3 years of equipment operating experience
Must be familiar with all phases of Utility Construction
Knowledge of equipment maintenance
Expected to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and on-going random testing
Strong work ethic
