Border States Paving Jamestown location is hiring for the 2024 Construction season and has an opening for a Distributor Operator!
Season may run April-Nov each year
Operate a Distributor Truck for asphalt paving crew.
Load tack oil in tank of distributor truck, drive truck to transport tack oil to and from job site and operate controls within the truck that will dispense oil on asphalt paving surface.
Responsible for the efficient working condition of the truck and is expected to perform maintenance and minor servicing.
Take instruction from Foreman/Superintendent and assist with groundwork when required.
The highest quality of workmanship is expected in assigned paving projects while working in a safe, productive and professional manner.
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one; CDL A or B required & Tanker - HazMat endorsement.
Excellent wages: $32.
25-$32.
40 per hour plus $20.
65 per hour fringe(covers Health Ins premiums & Pension)
Experience: HS diploma or equivalent GED required: minimum one season of asphalt and road construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough understanding of all aspects of asphalt paving; prep work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving very helpful.
