The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing equipment maintenance activities and leading personnel.
Responsibilities may include assigning work to staff; inspecting and monitoring operations to ensure compliance with safety requirements; reviewing records and reports; tracking inventories; maintaining operation logs; and identifying areas for improvements, preparing and monitoring an assigned budget; assigning and reviewing work of lower level maintenance staff; scheduling staff; performing inspections; performing related calculations; operating equipment; and establishing and enforcing work procedures and processes.
Your Responsibilities
Manages all equipment maintenance activities for the County.
Supervises staff during routine vehicle maintenance.
Inspects and monitors all shop operations to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Tracks inventories, maintains operation logs.
Evaluates and signs performance reviews, approve timecards, reward/discipline subordinates.
Assists in determining the specs for new equipment purchases.
Assists in all levels of road maintenance when needed.

Your Qualifications
Associate's degree or two years technical certificate in vehicle maintenance; three years equipment maintenance experience.
