*Job Summary: *
Accountable for day-to-day operations and support/guidance at branch location.
Works in conjunction with the city desk and warehouse team to routinely assess business practices to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
Creates a plan to achieve goals or course corrections to ensure desired outcomes are met.
Strong problem-solving and customer contact skills required.
This position will assist with oversite of all operational components, including scheduling, hiring, coaching and discipline.
Responsible to run and review inventory reports, investigate any discrepancies, as well as approve/process product credits.
Ensures all orders are billed correctly and timely.
Addresses complaints and resolves problems in accordance with defined company policy and practices.
*Education and Experience Requirements*
* Over three years of combined experience in construction-related sales and management, including responsibility for budgetary objectives.
* Proficient in Microsoft products, including spreadsheets, and working with custom sales software systems.
* Goal-oriented, disciplined, motivated, and driven to achieve business initiatives.
* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an aptitude for dealing with various personalities.
* Demonstrate a relationship-based sales approach, with proven ability to work well with others and provide clear direction.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to regularly travel to branch locations as needed.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *
* To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
* Responsible for the direction and support of the city desk and warehouse team; provide day-to-day operational support and monitor branch initiatives, including feedback on all facets of the branch: branch P&L and financial goals, people management, vendor management, company culture, customer service, and general operational objectives.
* Consistently review and manage annual branch budget.
* Ensures or assists with training, performance reviews, and individual development plans.
* Manage and improve the operational systems, processes, and policies supporting the organization’s mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process, and organizational planning.
* Conduct monthly cycle counts, accountable for managing branch inventory, track risk inventory.
* Sets an example by maintaining an excellent working knowledge and a high level of proficiency in performing all phases of operation.
* Ensures the compliance and safety measures are consistently followed.
* Assist in creating, revising, and maintaining operational processes and procedures.
* Partners with Purchasing Team, Business Development, Accounting, and Marketing related to the overall success of Tenet’s Business objectives.
