Overview:
Your Home Improvement Company - Service Technician
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for managing all service-related items assigned by the Senior Service Manager.
This will include; but not limited to, warranty related repairs and assessments of windows, bathroom remodels and kitchen reface projects.
This is a customer care driven hands on residential construction position.
Responsibilities:
Maintains positive relationships with employees at all levels within Great Day Improvements.
Creates and maintains positive relationships will all customers
Correctly assesses warranty issues and creates an action plan to correct these issues
Executes action plans for warranty repairs in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction
Has a critical eye for other products the customer may need that are offered by YHIC
Updates various programs and apps as needed for accurate project tracking (Training provided by YHIC)
Communicates accurately and effectively with the YHIC management team
Qualifications:
Experience in the construction industry.
With a preferred strong back ground in residential remodeling.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in written form
Knowledge of customer service and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of basic computer and mobile apps usage.
Demonstrated knowledge of good time management skills and time estimating for services.
Skills:
Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and establishing strong working relationships, both internal and external.
Ability to listen and use critical thinking to assess business needs.
Knowledge of and/or ability to interpret applicable construction codes to ensure compliance
Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management.
Identifies products issues and is able to identify warranty vs no warranty services
Gives full attention to others by actively listening to what they are saying, taking the time to understand their points of view, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable, friendly, and welcoming personality.
Provides excellent judgment and decision-making skills by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions, and choosing the most appropriate one.
Abilities:
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary professional team, including high-level division and department directors.
Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
Ability to install YHIC products per manufacturing installation instructions.
(YHIC will train)
Ability to handle stress and conflict well, adapt to rapid change, and demonstrate flexibility and creativity in fast paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize assignments while working independently.
Ability to work Monday through Friday as required and occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Ability to effectively coordinate and track multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and meet stringent and overlapping deadlines.

Adequate personal hand tools to complete services and ensure customer satisfaction.
Power tools and specialty tools to be provided by YHIC.
