Under the direction of the Recruiting Coordinator, the Training Specialist will assist in all manner of activities related to training and development.
Using a cross functional, multi-departmental approach, the position will work closely with all leadership teams to determine training needs that drive manufacturing excellence for the facility and career development for all employees.
Job Duties:
Partner with all leadership teams to determine training needs that will drive manufacturing excellence for the facility and career development.
Implement training standards and measures that support the vision of self-sufficient teams.
Lead on-boarding and early development program for new employees.
Determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instructions, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
Evaluate training effectiveness; assess quality and success of program and share feedback to validate effectiveness.
Provide guidance cross functionally to training leaders.
Support the development of robust curriculum for both operational and soft skills.
Foster the development of internal subject matter experts through Train-the-Trainer program to leverage internal training resources and promote knowledge transfer within organization.

Qualifications:
English/Spanish bilingual
Ability to think strategically and impact strategic initiatives, understand business drivers and handle complexity
Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives according to business needs and strategy
Experience leading people effectively and building and sustaining relationships at all levels, promoting a high performance organization
Experience working collaboratively to resolve issues with strong influencing, diplomacy, and partnering skills in order to grow business relationships and guide business partners to the best solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support the needs of a multi shift operation
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Instructional Design, Manufacturing Operations Management, Engineering, or another relevant field
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and related equipment
Experience training production / manufacturing employees
Experience working in a TPM environment
Experience working in a High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and/or Self Directed Work Team environment
Knowledge of SAP
Experience in the food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
FDA / GMP knowledge
