Dickinson Parks & Recreation is seeking motivated candidates for the position of Facility Maintenance Specialist for the West River Community Center, Outdoor Pool and West River Ice Center.
This position is full-time with the full benefits package of the Park District.
Benefits package includes health, vision, and dental with HSA/FSA options along with retirement, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, cell phone allowance and more.
Position will start at a base salary of $19.
23/hour.
All full-time employees will receive a FREE membership to the West River Community Center and Heart River Golf Course along with FREE program usage for the employee and immediate family members.

APPLICATION DEADLINE > April 19, 2024 or until filled Job Description Position will be responsible to assist the Facility Maintenance Supervisor in the maintenance of Dickinson Parks and Recreation facilities.
Facility Maintenance Specialist will assist in the daily maintenance of the West River Community Center, Outdoor Pool, West River Ice Center and associated areas.
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Participates in daily activities related to the maintenance of DPR facilities.
Be willing to work overtime hours if needed for special event Assists in training and supervising part-time and seasonal facility maintenance staff.
Operates a variety of facility maintenance equipment such as: sweepers, zambonis, worklifts, bobcats, loaders, forklifts and scissor lifts in a safe manner.
Performs equipment repair and maintenance.
Performs pool maintenance, which includes routinely checking pumps, filters, chemical feeders, valves, water chemistry and chemicals.
Performs landscape maintenance functions.
Assists in the preparation of the ice center for events, including the installation and removal of ice.
Maintains buildings and facilities in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Performs preventive maintenance functions in accordance with facility maintenance standards.
Communicates effectively with proper subordinates and maintains positive working relationships with other employees, agencies, and the public.
Represents Dickinson Parks and Recreation in a positive manner.
Attends regular department/committee meetings and performs related work as required.
Qualifications One year of experience in facility maintenance; or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Current certification in CPO, CPR/First Aid/AED; or ability to obtain certifications within 12 months of employment.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
