Responsibilities
Ability (or willingness to learn how) to read, interpret and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints and electrical code specifications to understand layout of commercial electrical equipment installations
Test electrical systems, equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Assist journeyman with installation, repair and replacement of electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optics, line assemblies, lighting and alternative parts
Assist journeyman with preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
Assist journeyman as they correct electrical failures and replace components in a timely fashion
Learn to install, maintain and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices
Comply with industry safety standards and procedures
Qualifications
Valid North Dakota apprentice electrician card and driver’s license
At least 6 years of electrical experience as a registered apprentice
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach and kneel
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
Willingness to work overtime
