Primary duties include:
• Analysis and reporting of financial transactions and statistics for Knife River Corporation and its subsidiaries.
• Compiling data and reports related to the job cost and inventory reporting.
• Reporting system maintenance and report writing.
• Data compilation from the reporting systems.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external reporting.
• Preparing requests for external auditors.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
Financial Analyst II/III/IV (level is dependent on years of experience):
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy, independent judgement and analysis.
• Willing to learn and/or assist in implementing new ideas and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal controls, and financial statement preparation methods and requirements, primarily as it related to the construction industry and inventory accounting.
• Interpersonal skills with associates, other departments, operating unit personnel, external auditors and third-party vendors or consultants.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, accounting software (including JD Edwards and BI Reporting), ad hoc reporting, and budgeting software.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
• CPA or professional certification.
• JD Edwards and experience in construction and inventory accounting.
