Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Public Waterworks Employee to join our team.
As a Public Waterworks Employee, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our water treatment and distribution systems.
This is a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe and clean water to our community.
Duties:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on water treatment and distribution systems
- Operate and monitor equipment such as pumps, valves, and meters
- Conduct water quality tests and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance with regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns regarding water quality or service interruptions
- Assist in the installation and repair of water mains, hydrants, and service lines
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Follow safety protocols and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic repairs
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or related field is preferred
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Drivers License; CDL preferred but not required
Note: This position requires physical stamina as it may involve lifting heavy objects and exposure to outdoor elements.
