The Position
The Showroom Consultant’s primary responsibility is to ensure satisfaction of customers in the showroom.
The consultant will handle an array of duties including customer telephone inquiries, selling and servicing the customer promptly and politely, managing small builder/designer/plumbing accounts, staying up to date on product knowledge, and creating quotes & placing orders in an accurate and timely manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
? Render prompt and satisfactory service to customers in the show room as well as at the counter area and to those calling by telephone, providing prices and product application information.
? Pick orders from the warehouse to service and sell to counter customers and process sales transactions.
? Stay current on new products and apply knowledge of product usage in selling additional materials to the customer.
? Assisting walk-in customers with selections and pricing.
? Apply expert plumbing knowledge when selling products to the customer.
? Keep an organized schedule of appointments and keep in constant communication with builders, plumbers, and home owners as necessary.
? Offer design input to clients based off of market trends.
? Sustain budget restrictions while still helping clients achieve their dream space.
? Build customized quotes selected by each customer and revise as necessary.
? Create quote-based photo portfolios.
? Provide warranty and delivery information, as needed.
? Investigate and resolve warranty claims.
? Answer stock availability questions.
? Gather required documentation for new accounts such as tax documents, billing information and credit applications.
? The Showroom Consultant may become involved with such other duties as the management team deems necessary, such as content creation, inventory management, display design, counter sales, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Quickly learn organization procedures and operations
• Possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Possess the ability to multi-task; be pulled away from projects and return to follow through completely
• Possess a high level of attention to detail
• Proficiency in related applications in the WISE system
• Physically handle material weighting up to 50 pounds
• Analyze administrative details and correct routine error situations
• Must work well with other people.
