Summary of Work South Country Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver exceptional Economic Assistance programs to our community.
South Country Human Service Zone is seeking an Eligibility Worker Technician (00023573) for the Economic Assistance Department.
The Economic Assistance Unit provides for the assessment and eligibility determination of applicants for a variety of programs.
This position requires knowledge of community resources.
Program training is provided for this position.
Some travel throughout South Country Human Service Zone/ SE Region could occur.
Applicant will have front desk duties, answering phones, greeting the public, helping fill out applications, etc.
Applicant should have strong verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
You will also need to be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technology programs.
An ideal candidate for this position will be organized and able to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
You will have an eye for detail, be able to manage your time and priorities effectively and pride yourself on excellent communication skills, empathy, and being a team player.
You will have a passion for helping others and making a difference in our community.
South Country Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services and Kidder County to deliver state-driven public assistance and program protocols and provides employees with the excellent benefits and employment packages offered by Emmons County as an Emmons County employee.

Minimum Qualifications This position requires a high school diploma or GED, PLUS one of the following: * Three years of work experience in the clerical, accounting, financial, legal, or teaching fields * Three years of a bachelor's degree program (90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours) * Three years combined education and experience as listed above Selected candidate will be required to complete a fingerprinted background check in addition to a state background check which may take up to two (2) weeks to process.
