The HSE Manager Bakken oversees and supports multiple rig locations in the region where Stage 3 Separation works.
The primary responsibilities include effectively managing the HSE portion of operations during rig inspections and incident reviews, coordinating support for area management groups within the region and providing rig support.
Additionally, the HSE Manager works with field personnel to conduct incident investigations and assist with training programs.
The HSE Manager is also responsible for coaching, teaching, and training employees in an assigned responsibility area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Build relationships with Customers to ensure HSE needs are met consistently, and requests are completed in a timely manner -Conduct onsite rig inspections including conducting follow-up reviews to ensure the safety of personnel and proper maintenance of equipment and machinery -Oversee, coordinate, and ensure that the day-to-day HSE activities and duties are performed by Field Leaders and other Personnel onsite -Work with all Area Management to support all Region and Company HSE goals -Assist and conduct Employee Safety Orientation training, including Heavy Equipment Training as needed.
-Conduct incident investigations and provide support to coordinate appropriate corrective actions based upon findings -Use a computer to write and read emails and develop reporting for region to track progress to established goals.
-Work independently and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.
-Make sound and quick decisions to support all operations while maintaining a continuously safe working environment.
-Must exhibit a professional approach to others in a tactful manner and treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
-Knowledge in HSE Management System and creating and updating policies and procedures in accordance with Company and Regulatory Guidelines.
-Communicate and follow-up on day-day issues to ensure that Area Management, Field Leaders and Technicians understand and comply with all policies and procedures.
-Provide additional HSE support and leadership as necessary to ensure personnel safety, efficiency in all operations, and customer satisfaction.
-Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously -Communicate effectively with coworkers, internal and external customers, and third parties verbally and in writing.
-Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in HSE to foster a safe and effective working atmosphere -Use a computer to write and read emails and develop reporting for region to track progress to established goals -Work independently and prioritize tasks based on operational needs -Make sound and quick decisions to support all operations while maintaining a continuously safe working environment -Must exhibit a professional approach to others in a tactful manner and treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.

Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Have a thorough knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental principles and best practices.
Have a full comprehension of OSHA regulations.
Maintains historical employee records, files, and data.
Creates Power-point presentations.
Handle confidential documents and information and exercise discretion.
Perform HSE Audits for compliance.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
Familiarity with Federal, State and Local laws.
Strong organizational skills.
Must be able to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Must be a team player.
Can Supervise Administrative support staff if necessary.
Bilingual a plus.
Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
Minimum of 8 years work experience within HSE or related equivalent function.
Eligible to drive Company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of Company’s Vehicle Use Agreement Experience with oil and gas drilling operations or pipeline preferred.
Working knowledge of environmental regulations.
Work experience in General Industry or Oil Field safety preferred.
OSHA 30 and knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
FMCSA and DOT knowledge.
Willingness and ability to present safety messages and training to groups of people.
Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects.
Proficient in MS Office and other required PC software applications.
CSP or Professional Designation a plus.
