The LPN Nurse will:
Review and update service plans according to State requirements.
Perform or supervise the performance of individual nursing services as required.
Implement wellness programs to maximize health through education, preventative care, etc.
With the Family Service Coordinator, assess prospective residents to determine care needs and appropriateness for residency.
Coordinate Wellness Services procedures to admit new residents.
Train/orientate staff concerning Wellness Services functions and procedures as directed; provide staff in-services as required.
Identify at-risk residents and help create a risk management plan if needed.
Communicate with residents, families, staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding resident health issues and service plans.
Facilitate alternative placement or supplemental care when appropriate.
Oversee medication setup and delivery system.
Respond to resident emergency calls as needed; review and document emergency call responses.
Nurse Requirements:
LPN degree
Licensed for North Dakota
1 year working with seniors preferred
Knowledge of medication, dosage, and terminology
Knowledge of medication side effects
Knowledge of health factors in seniors
Proven track record of integrity
Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills
Must be detail-oriented and accurate
Able to evaluate the resident's condition for changes or symptoms.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of verbal and written information about residents, prospective residents, facility operations, and personnel
Strong English communication skills are essential for seamless interaction with residents and colleagues.
