JOB SUMMARY Provides leadership to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting function, including management of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, initiatives, and controls for the maintenance of fiscal records, including compliance with SEC regulations, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements, compliance with the Internal Revenue Service requirements, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.
Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; and Seven years of increasingly responsible experience in the accounting field; with 1-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the SEC reporting function activities, including the analysis and reporting of all SEC financial transactions.
Works as the liaison with external contacts, such as SEC legal counsel and auditors to resolve key accounting issues and reflect positions accurately in the financial statements.
Leads efforts to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable rules and regulations of the Company’s financial filings with the SEC, including the Form 10-K and Form 10-Q and other required public filings.
Fosters a culture that promotes ethical practices and legal compliance.
Supports the external reporting processes such as quarterly earnings including financial information and detail in the earnings releases and formal public comments.
Works actively not only within the Everus confines, but across all Everus companies to proactively recommend implementation of new accounting standards, or changes to existing accounting standards that arise.
Develops and maintains a well-coordinated and efficient working team capable of planning and administering the functions within the identified scope.
Encourages excellent customer service, individual integrity, teamwork, employee innovation and accountability.
Keeps abreast of all company activities including financial results.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
