13 Week Contract
MWF, 0430-1700, 0600-1830 (may vary based on census) + Rotating weeknight/weekends on call
- # beds: 19 beds in chronic outpatient unit, will also cover inpatient
- Ratios: 1:3-4 ICU patients are only inpatient 1:1, all others for MS level of care go to the outpatient area
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CRRT, Apheresis, PD, acute dialysis, ESRD, AKI, Staff cover both inpatient and outpatient
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to care for chronic patients and acute patients that are in the hospital.
Willing to train CRRT- they set up and RN run the machines in ICU
- Is there a Manager/Supervisor on each shift?: Charge Nurse- traveler to not be Charge
- Do you use Medical Assistants or CNAs?: 1 PCT
- Equipment: Fresenius 2008T
- EMR: Clarity
- Shifts & Scheduling: Outpatient dialysis center is currently open MWF, 0430-1700, 0600-1830 at this time, Shift times may change based on the patient census
- Weekend Requirement: rotating weekends on call, every 5-7 weeks, 6p Fri- 6a Mon
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Is there a call or standby requirement?: Rotating call during the week and weekends.
- Weekday call: M,W,F 1800-0600 and Tue/Thur 24 hour call 0600-0600, call roughly 2-3 weeknights
- Weekend call: Fri 1800-Mon 0600.
Will have weekend call roughly every 5-6 weekends
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Floating Requirements: Will cover both inpatient and outpatient- may do both in same shift
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital scrubs are provided
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2- 12 hour shifts
- Additional Notes: Staff cover both inpatient and outpatient during their scheduled M, W, F shifts.
When the unit is closed on call staff cover any needs.
