_Job Location: Hawley, MN-Relocation assistance provided.
Wage: Starting base of $28 - $32 per hour ($65,000 - $110,000 per year).

*Job Responsibilities*:
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, and perform repair work on vehicles as needed.
* Conduct routine maintenance work on used vehicles aiming to prolong vehicle functionality and longevity.
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
* Perform repairs and replacements of automotive parts, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.
* Communicate directly with the service advisor or manager regarding the status of the service work.
* Continuously learn new technical information and repair techniques as required by the manufacturer/dealership.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager/supervisor.

*Requirements & Qualifications*:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* New ASE Certification or desire for certification is a plus.
* At least 1-2 years of automotive repair experience preferred.
* Knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
) preferred.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and physical tasks as needed.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and meet dealership insurance requirements.
*Skills*:
* Proven experience as an auto mechanic with strong diagnostic skills.
* Strong communication skills to confidently converse with customers/clients.
* Must have a strong work ethic and act with integrity and professionalism.
* Goals driven with a team-work attitude.
*Work Hours*:
* 8-hour shift.
* 8:00am - 5:00pm: 1-hour lunch.
* Monday to Friday and every 3rd Saturday (shorter shift).
