The Senior Tax Accountant will be primarily responsible for the preparation of U.
S.
federal and state income tax returns, as well as prepare/assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations.
The role will require solid tax technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
The position will also assist with tax audits and tax depreciation analysis for assigned group of entities.
The position reports to the Senior Tax Manager and will work closely with other tax staff and other departments.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare assigned state income tax returns, quarterly estimated payments and extensions.
Prepare state apportionment data required eliminations for state purposes
• Prepare federal proformas for assigned entities
• Prepare federal tax provision for assigned companies
• Maintain net operating loss carryforward schedules and related technical rules for assigned entities or group of entities, while analyzing for maximum preservation and usage
• Work closely with Senior Tax Manager on information gathering, analysis, and draft responses to federal and state tax audits and notices; communicate professionally with tax auditors, as required
• Stay abreast of federal and state tax law changes; analyze the impact to the company
• Identify and implement process improvements and tax-saving opportunities
• Complete all documentation in compliance with SOX requirements
• Prepare tax account reconciliations for assigned entities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline;
• Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred;
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred;
• Four (4) years or more relevant experience in large multinational corporate tax environment and/or top tier accounting firm;
• Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax/Provision (intermediate level) preferred;
• Analytical proficiency and knowledge of Federal and State income tax (intermediate level);
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors);
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong research and analytical skills;
• Demonstrates problem solving skills;
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team;
• Possesses strong technical aptitude; demonstrates initiative in mastering new technical areas quickly;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills;
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices;
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel) (intermediate to advanced level);

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc.
The salary for this position ranges from $90K to $105K.
