Radiology Technician 494361 Bismarck, North Dakota, United States Bismarck CFM Health Care/ Social Services Full-time Staff Closing on: Mar 3 2024 Salary/Position Classification $45,600 to $55,000 Annual, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability: No Purpose of Position The Radiologic Technician is responsible for performing duties such as radiographic positioning, film processing, quality control and radiation protection.
The Radiology Tech works with resident physicians, directors, office and administrative staff in providing quality care to patients, to keep patient flow efficient and maintain an optimum learning environment for resident physicians and other students involved in the clinic.
Duties & Responsibilities Patient Care and Department Management Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images, ensuring accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider request.
Maintain quality processing standards and equipment cleanliness with documentation to ensure accurate results and reports.
Perform documentation and record keeping on all inspections, test, and repair work done on equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance and periodic safety inspections on equipment.
Manage Radiology Department: ordering of necessary supplies Ensure that departmental policy & procedure manuals are up-to-date and accessible Train part-time, prn, or locum employees and/or limited diagnostic operator(s) – to include supervision and evaluation, and completion of competency/skills validation check-lists as needed.
In clinic, duties may include: entering patient demographics and ordering diagnostic tests into computer system; scheduling, tracking, and performing image management functions; performing EKG’s, audiogram, visual acuity, and pulmonary function tests.
Required Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work closely with faculty and resident physicians.
Ability to work with patients and the public in a professional, confidential, and calm fashion.
Ability to work independently Minimum Requirements Graduate of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Two years' experience performing radiologic imaging Experience with electronic medical record and PACS systems Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
