Summary of Work
The Medical Bill Audit & Provider Relations Supervisor creates value and makes an impact with these job duties:
Serve as a contact point for the out-of-state medical community regarding medical fee schedule questions and negotiation
Development and execution of memorandums of understanding, medical bill inquiries, medical bill appeals, or complaints and grievances according to statutes
Development and review of WSI billing and fee schedule guidelines or executed memorandums of understanding
Supervises the Medical Bill Audit & Provider Relations Departments
Provide education and training
Serve as a liaison between the medical community and WSI
Review, draft, and implement annual fee schedules for reimbursement of the medical community for services provided to injured workers
Provide weekly updates and reports on activities to the Medical Services and Pharmacy Director
Minimum Qualifications
To prosper in this position, a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or business field is required
Six years of related work experience in medical fee schedule application is required
Relevant work experience in medical fee schedule application may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional Coder
Knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with the appeals process within the healthcare industry
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
