The Ranch is currently recruiting a mission-driven Admissions Manager.
The primary responsibility of the Admissions Manager is overseeing every aspect of the resident admissions process to maximize the services that the Ranch provides in line with its mission, including clients served and opportunities for revenue, while continually improving the quality of resident care and ensuring effective and efficient internal and external communication.
Starting wage: $60,000-$72,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (remote/work from home position)
What you will do:
Work closely with nursing, case management, finance, and program leaders to maintain efficient and effective admissions and transfer processes
Provide thorough communication with referrals, families, and external partners
Ensure that utilization levels are maintained in a timely, efficient, and caring manner while overseeing team members’ functions
Leads and supervises the Admissions Team
Purpose:

Participate in recruiting, training, mentoring, coaching and supervision of new and current admissions staff, while enforcing policies and proper protocol
Develops and achieves departmental goals and objectives by gathering patient, demographic, insurance and financial information.

Monitors admissions capacity and makes sure it is effectively communicated to clinicians and other personnel
Develop effective collaborative working relationships internally and externally to the Ranch with medical, clinical and other providers and referrals
Reduces admissions conflicts and discrepancies by collaborating with team

Continuously works to achieve organizational goals.
Accepts ownership for actions and decisions, accomplishments and actively explores new opportunities on the job to enhance skills and knowledge
Develops, implements, and maintains revenue-generating strategies related to admissions and patient capacity
Determines admissions targets and develops relationships within the community to drive admissions numbers
Minimum qualifications/education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Preference given to candidates with a degree, licensure, or certification in a clinical field, healthcare administration, or similar area of study
Must be 21 or older at the time of application
High school diploma or equivalent
Must pass a background check, including criminal, abuse, and motor vehicle
Competencies:
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strategic planning and decision-making ability
Excellent leadership, mentoring, communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
Strategic and crisis management, problem-solving, and planning skills
Business administration and operations experience or training
Understanding of the basics of resident and patient care
Collaborate effectively with fellow administrative team members with a diverse range of expertise
