Registered Nurse- Behavioural Health Nurse
Responsibilities:
Providing treatment plans, which may include medication management, group therapy sessions, in-home counseling sessions, or other forms of treatment
Performing intake assessments to determine patients’ needs and risks for suicide, violence, or self-injury
Creating and updating treatment plans based on patient progress and compliance with treatment goals
Coordinating care with other healthcare providers such as psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists
Teaching patients how to identify triggers that may cause them to act out in ways that are detrimental to their health or safety
Conducting home visits to patients who are unable to come to the office for treatment sessions
Providing individual therapy sessions to patients with a variety of mental health issues such as depression or anxiety disorders
Supporting patients through difficult transitions such as terminations from treatment programs or hospital discharge
Assisting patients with adhering to treatment plans by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and monitoring their responses to medication
Requirements:
RN with minimum of 2+ years of recent RN experience and 2+ years of recent in BHA
The potential nurse must also go through a period of supervised clinical experience
BLS(AHA); ACLS(AHA)
Education and Training:
registered nurse (RN) by earning a diploma,
associate degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
