Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and mammograms.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the necessary images.
- Follow protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images.
- Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician.
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Experience with various imaging techniques, including X-ray, CT scan, mammography, PET scan, etc.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical imaging principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols for diagnostic evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including emergency room settings.
