Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide.
Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Quality Assurance will be responsible for all onsite inspections and evaluations of the Bureau of Indian Education facilities at Haskell Indian Nations University and Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute.
This is a remote position preferably candidates residing in the following states: Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Oklahoma or Minnesota for an occasional onsite visit.
Key responsibilities:
Perform daily onsite inspections of the progress and quality of work
Inform the client of any work discrepancy from the construction contract
Monitor construction schedules and report any possible delay
Receive and respond to requests for information and changes from contractors
Observe tests and report results
Update project logbook of all daily activities
Assist in reviewing drawings and additional design drawings
Review and maintain payroll records
Perform final inspection
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree graduate of Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
At least 10 years of construction inspection experience.
Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies or other recognized organization is desirable.
Licensed journeyman electrician or plumber.
Handled multi-disciplined projects greater than $1million.
Construction Quality Verification or equivalent training.
Completed OSHA 30 training within the past 2 years.
Knowledgeable on safety practices, with background in USACE EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety requirements.
Physically able to walk over rough, uneven, slippery surfaces, lift heavy loads and climb ladders.
Highly knowledgeable in engineering principles, concepts and practices.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
With valid driver’s license.
Competent computer skills.
