Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with wound care and suture removal
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic medical record systems (e.
g.
, Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Provide care for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics
- Safely lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Assist with airway management, including suctioning and oxygen administration
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Experience in an assisted living or long-term care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.
g.
, Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
