GPRS Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Type and Status: Regular, Full Time, Non-exempt, Onsite, Minimal Travel Required
Hours of Work: Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week
Department/Location: GPRS, Bismarck
Reports to: Carol Kauk
Statement of Purpose:
The HR Generalist will coordinate the day-to-day Human Resource functions, including recruiting, HR administration, employee relations and
communication, benefits administration, and compliance with all applicable local/state/federal rules and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partners with hiring managers and facilitates the recruiting process including job posting, screening, interviews, job offers, background
checks and new employee onboarding.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with recruitment sources including employment agencies and educational institutions.
Attends
career fairs.
• Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job openings.
• Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources
information systems (HRIS).
• Partners with hiring managers and facilitates the recruiting process including job posting, screening, interviews, job offers, background
checks and new employee onboarding.
• Maintains employee records, and all employee databases according to legal compliance rules.
• Determine employee eligibility, and changes in coverage, manage employee paperwork, and process company benefit and retirement plan
enrollments in coordination with the payroll vendor.
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, and employee directory, and contribute to policy
development.
• Provide primary support to the payroll vendor for timekeeping, benefit entries, premium, and payroll changes.
• Administer and coordinate FMLA, medical, and personal leaves in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Process timely and accurate filings of employee injuries in accordance with WSI and OSHA.
• Complete verifications of employment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Skills: Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with attention to
detail.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
• License: SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
• Experience: Two years of HR experience.
Must possess working knowledge of business and HR practices at a level normally acquired
through completion of a four-year degree in business administration or human resources management or a related field or equivalent
experience.
