Location: Bismarck, ND
Shift: Monday – Friday: 6:15-8:30am, 3-9pm (Varying hours)
Weekends: 9am-4pm (Varying hours)
Job Schedule: Part Time

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to support clients with their life to include health and personal cares, therapeutic, educational, recreational, and leisure activities for individuals with special needs to achieve maximum growth and learning as they make transitions throughout life.
Provides guidance, coaching and mentors to Direct Service Professional staff on their assigned shift, solves issues and needs of both the clientele and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for working with Program Coordinators in the implementation of a PCSP/IFSP, Behavior Plan and health care protocols for all clientele served by Anne Carlsen.
This position supports the development and connections needed to be a participant in community life.
This position works within the guidelines of Anne Carlsen policies/procedures, State and Federal Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrate effective skills in organization, leadership, and communication skills - both oral and written.
The incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts.
Must be able to adapt to rapid change, and must be able to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations.
• Must be able to complete Anne Carlsen’s training program according to policies and procedures; must be able to learn and perform personal cares, education and therapeutic programs, and have the ability to learn and comprehend medical terminology.
The incumbent must also have the ability to communicate and follow all verbal and written instructions, and problem solve effectively with clients, staff, family member, and community businesses.
• Able to use problem solving skills.
Must be able to support, interpret, implement and communicate Anne Carlsen, State, Federal policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Understand and have a working knowledge of Windows, Intranet and Internet technology.
The DSP must have the ability to access, manipulate, organize, and relay information in meaningful ways using email, etc.
