Responsibilities
CHI speciality clinic is looking for a Full Time Receptionist to join the team!
Receptionist performs a variety of business office and reception duties accurately and with minimal supervision.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answering and routing phone calls in accordance with practice policies; scheduling patient appointments; greeting and registering patients; collecting, verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information; gathering and coding charge information.
Observes strict patient confidentiality in dealing with callers.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for scheduling clinic appointments in accordance with the policies, procedures, provider templates and guidelines.
Registers all new patients’ demographic and insurance information into the clinic system accurately and completely.
Verifies and updates patient demographic information at every visit and when scheduling appointments.
Collects patient co-pays and issue’s receipts to patients.
3Smiles and greets all incoming patients immediately.
Notifies appropriate clinical staff of each patient’s arrival and assures that patients are informed of any appointment delays if waiting more than 15 minutes from their appointment time.
Obtains signature from all patients regarding Medicare signature and financial policy agreement forms.
Perform scheduling duties, including gathering of information, screening of telephone calls, transferring call and message taking.
Interview, review and enter demographic information accurately and completely into a computerized scheduling system.
Schedules lab and diagnostic tests as indicated by provider.
Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
A Medical and/or office management degree is preferred.
Experience: Prefer a minimum of two years office/secretarial experience in a medical facility.
Computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling practices is required.
Pay Range
$12.
15 - $16.
