Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.

Responsibilities
CHI St.
Alexius is looking for PRN RN to join the Renal Services team.
This person provides individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages.
Uses a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act, CHI St.
Alexius policies, nursing standards, ethical principles, and professional judgment.
Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Provides nursing care across all units within trained specialty.
What You’ll Do
Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
Practices safe patient handling techniques.
Continues to evaluate assigned patients and provides ongoing treatment.
Anticipates, identifies, and responds to educational and emotional needs of patients and families.
Guides and directs healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance, and use (i.
e.
, IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices).
Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms whenever available to maximize patient safety.
Initiates emergency support measures (i.
e.
, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury).
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.
Experience preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
Graduate Nurse (G.
N) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid.
Skills: Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care.
Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required.
Pay Range
$28.
