Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.

Responsibilities
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Provides secretarial support to the Director of Laboratory and Imaging Services in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St.
Alexius Medical Center.
Duties include: record keeping, daily charges processing, data entry and other duties as assigned by the director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates professionally; written and oral communication via telephone, e-mail, etc.
Takes accurate messages.
Works professionally with information and data software programs and systems to efficiently and accurately enter statistics and summary data on an ongoing basis; monthly lab and radiology statistics
Produces professional documents and records to include performance improvement data, meeting minutes, policies, correspondence, annual reports
Prepare and track Cash Withdrawal Authorizations and Requests for Purchase, handle invoices as requested
Assists with time and attendance system entry and review.
Assists with API program schedule creation and updates.
Prepares on-call schedule.
Files documents both manually and electronically; maintains Radiology shared drive
Assists Radiology and Laboratory leadership team
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved business college program leading to an associate’s degree or equivalent.
Preference for major course work in office support, business or program focus on medical related software application tools in information systems.
Preference for educational emphasis in medical office practices and procedures.
Experience: Four years’ experience as a Medical Secretary, performing a variety of complex office support, clerical or secretarial work which includes opportunities for functioning as a project coordinator, team leader or lead worker.
Skills: Proficiency in keyboarding, personal computer operations, information systems, software program and computer application skills, organizational skills, typing speed of 50 words per minute.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, spelling and grammar.
Pay Range
$12.
