Alexius is looking for an RN to join the Heart and Vascular Pre Post Team!

RNs with CHI St.
Alexius function as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
Under the supervision of the Heart and Vascular Coordinator, to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise individual patient care in all areas of the Heart & Vascular Center in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St.
Alexius Medical Center while maintaining standards of the State Nurse Practice Act.
What You'll Do:
o Utilizes the nursing process, including planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation,
to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient and family
focused on optimal patient outcomes
o Meets the educational needs of patient/family/co-workers utilizing principles and current
professional literature to achieve positive learning outcomes.
o Delegates nursing care with respect based on knowledge of staff qualifications /
competencies and individual patient care needs.
o Provides moderate sedation, monitoring, and documentation for various Heart and
Vascular procedures while following HIPAA regulations and St.
Alexius Medical Center
policies.
o Assesses patient conditions and takes immediate action in emergency situations.
o Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols,
medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
o Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating
information, responding to requests, building rapport and participating in
multidisciplinary problem-solving.
Skills:
Demonstrates ability to organize personnel assignments and activities for others for the overall benefit of the unit.
Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care.
Demonstrates proficiency in unit and the ability to function efficiently during crisis.
Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required.
Qualifications
Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
Experience: At least two (2) years clinical experience within specialty area preferred.
