Nursing Faculty
The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND invites applications for undergraduate nursing faculty member in our Saint Gianna School of Health Science.
There are both part time and full time options available.
All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see https://www.

Responsibilities Include:
Plan, implement, evaluate, and update the course of study for Division of Nursing as evidenced by written outcomes.
Design, implement, evaluate, and update the curriculum.
Implement, evaluate, and update policies for student admission, progression, retention, and graduation in keeping with the policies of the University of Mary
Participate in academic advisement and guidance of students
Provide theoretical instructional and practice experiences
Select, monitor, and evaluate preceptors and the student learning experience
Evaluate student achievement of curricular outcomes related to nursing knowledge and practice in a fair, consistent manner
Evaluate teaching effectiveness
Participate in activities that facilitate maintaining the faculty members own nursing competence and professional expertise in the area of teaching responsibility
Participate in division and university committees
Qualifications and Requirements Include:
Master’s degree in nursing, terminal degree preferred
Current unencumbered license in the State of North Dakota
Meet criteria as set forth by the NDBON
Certification requirement: University of Mary Nursing faculty are required to earn or renew a certification in either their clinical specialty or nursing education within 3 years of employment

Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the School of Health Science and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ
