LPN/RN for Urgent Care Clinic
PRN.
Will be required to work two shifts in a six-week period.
Hours are approximately 8:30 am-1:30 pm on Saturday.
The nurse is accountable for delivering care to the patient utilizing the nursing process.
The nurse is a critical thinker, team leader, and team player.
The nurse is a positive role model and is able to share knowledge freely.
The nurse is responsible for care provided to assigned patients.
Must be a LPN or RN that is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure with ND Board of Nursing.
BLS, ACLS and TNCC certification desired, will be provided if not already certified.

Additional shift differential for weekend shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes positive relationships between peers, other departments, physicians, patients, and family members.
Treats co-workers, patients, and family members with kindness and respect.
Assesses patients per hospital policy:
To include taking medical history and system review;
Administer patient care within the guidelines of patient’s Plan of Care and within the scope and standards of nursing practice.
Charting must be completed and concise per hospital policy.
Nursing personnel is responsible for observing and implementing physician orders.
Develops and updates patient’s Plan of Care and starts the discharge planning on admission.
Completes necessary shift duties.
Completes drug administrations and documentation including PRN effectiveness per department policy.
Utilizes ePharmacy, AcuDose and staff Pharmacist appropriately.
Completes required rounding and follow-up documentation when any medication is administered.
Knowledgeable of basic rhythm strips, lethal arrhythmias and Plan of Treatment.
Knowledgeable of standards of obstetric care and charting guidelines.
Knowledgeable of the functions in the Med-Surg and Emergency Room settings.
It is important for teammates to remain calm in all settings of nursing service and assess the needs of the patient.
