Responsibilities Use JLG processes to manage the time and efforts of the production team to get the work done.
Deliver 100% DD specification and 100% CD specifications within the project timeline by coordinating design decisions with the project team.
Work with the design teams to gather product information and create top-tier, technically sound specification documents to achieve a QA rating of 4.
Work with Specification Writer III to review and refine processes.
Work with Project Managers to analyze best practices, provide research, and update the JLG specification database to assure we are leaders in the industry for project quality and up-to-date practices.
Assist Project Managers in keeping the change order percentage low.
All other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in architecture, engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and related experience 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in building technology, code knowledge, product research, and specifications Evidence of quality project document delivery with intermediate knowledge of building science Strong knowledge of architectural design, engineering coordination, design trends, products, construction methodology and procedures, building systems, codes, material application, and manufacture-supplier appropriateness Intermediate knowledge in architectural specification writing, and intermediate BSD SpecLink skills; Bluebeam, Revit and MS Office knowledge is preferred Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines EEO statement: JLG Architects will not discriminate against or harass any employee or applicant for employment because of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions and lactation), gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability status, military service and protected veteran status, genetic information, membership or activity in a local human rights commission, status regarding public assistance, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws or ordinances in any aspect of employment.
