The Nurse Manager (RN) provides administrative and clinical leadership for The Bone and Joint Center nursing team.
· Act as role model through support of The Bone & Joint Center’s mission of excellence
· Act as a resource for all clinical team members
· Collaborates with leadership to hire, educate, and train new team members.
· Responsible for the development and implementation of a written orientation process for new clinical staff
· Manage and coordinate team schedules.
· Monitors and ensures adherence to all relevant nursing department policies, standards, and regulations.
· Develops and implements standardized workflows for the clinical team.
· Demonstrate expertise in the Electronic Health Record system application through independent research and participating in educational opportunities with Veradigm to recommend improvements and opportunities to increase efficiency.
· Maintain quality assurance of nursing documentation and clinic records.
· Conduct quarterly clinical team meetings.
· Review surgeon protocols quarterly to ensure they remain updated for clinical team reference
· Ensure professional educational handouts for patients
· Routinely engages with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure appropriate support from the clinical team.
· Regularly and consistently evaluates performance of team members through coaching, monitoring, and appraising job performance.
· Fulfills all patient care responsibilities in the main clinic, satellite clinics, hospital, and surgery center settings.
· Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and other government programs such as the Merit Based Incentive Payment Program (MIPS).
· Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, injectables and controlled substance regulations.
