The team member is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation) to provide care to patients.
Team member will coordinate care, assess patients, do patient education, triage and various other interventions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor(s) and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
The team member will collaborate with physicians and other professionals to implement and evaluate care.
Our team becomes experts in mobility, pain control, communicate and motivations.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients.
* Assist Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Operating Room.
* Fulfills patient care responsibilities including scheduling and patient flow, assisting patients for exam preparation, charting, and relaying instructions to patients.
* Evaluate, assess and provide treatment under physician’s/Advanced Practice Provider direction.
* Apply and remove splints, casts and dressings.
* Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as indicated.
* Coordinate patient care with ancillary personnel (physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, appointment scheduling, radiology, surgery scheduling, home health, home infusion and wound care).
* Remove surgical sutures, staples and percutaneous pins.
Providing direct patient care and patient and family education
* Must be able to multitask
* Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others
Candidate must be dependable and willing to work in a high volume clinical setting.
Applicant shall have the initiative and motivation to work in a fast paced environment.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM No weekends, holidays, or call
Education/Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program.
