The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals.
Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.
The primary responsibility of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN to evaluate and create a plan of care for the surgical patient in the Phase I recovery period Responsibilities Maintain a knowledge base regarding sedation/analgesic and anesthetic agents and techniques, physiologic and physiological response to the recovering patient.
Assess, plan, intervention for and evaluate the physical or physiological response to analgesia.
Able to plan for the risks and the interventions for those risks associated with the administration of sedation, analgesia and anesthetic agents.
Demonstrates understanding of the hospitals mission and values and their impact on nursing practices.
Demonstrate consistent alignment with our behavior standards.
Collaborates with other care staff to assure smooth transition for patient throughout facility using proper hand off techniques.
Qualifications Required Education for Staff Job Levels Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licensure and Certifications Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota; Basic Life Support (BLS), required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one (1) year of hire.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated understanding of Nursing Practice standards.
PREFERRED Qualifications Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred; Previous one year experience in operating room preferred Pay Range $32.
