Job Description:
As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Transitions Healthcare, you will play a critical role in providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals who are seeking support for a wide range of mental health concerns.
Your clients will come from various backgrounds, and you will collaborate with them to address their challenges, foster coping skills, and enhance their overall mental and emotional wellness.
Responsibilities:
· Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the mental health needs of clients, including the evaluation of psychological and emotional issues, and formulate clinical diagnoses when necessary.
· Individual Therapy: Deliver one-on-one, evidence-based therapy to clients, customized to their individual needs and objectives.
· Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, setting achievable goals and regularly reviewing progress.
· Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and crisis intervention services when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
· Client Education: Educate clients about mental health, coping strategies, and self-care practices to promote long-term emotional well-being.
· Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurse practitioners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Provide referrals for additional care or services when required.
· Professional Development: Continuously enhance your knowledge by engaging in ongoing education and training to remain informed about the latest research, therapeutic methods, and developments in the field of mental health.
· Ethical Conduct: Adhere to ethical guidelines and preserve client privacy, upholding the utmost level of professionalism consistently.
Qualifications:
· A valid North Dakota license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
· Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
· Possess compassion, empathy, and a sincere commitment to assisting individuals in attaining their mental health objectives.
· Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations related to mental health counseling.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining licensure.
· Master’s degree in counseling or clinical social work.
