Team Leader Shift:
Monday - Friday - 10:00p - 6:30a
JOB SUMMARY
Shipping Team Leaders direct the flow of work in various operations and supervise/lead others in the shipping process.
They receive work orders from the Transportation and Shipping Manager.
They organize and deploy team members within their area to accomplish the palletizing, picking, and shipping for the shift.
They need to be able to perform all shipping functions when the need arises.
They recognize and understand work processes, analyze, and problem-solve continually.
They guide the processes of JF floor and scanners, supply chain reporting, unloading and loading of trailers, receiving raw and finished goods, picking, output, container moves and builds, inventory corrections, creating and posting of warehouse shipments, and receiving goods,
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the direct supervision and training of team members engaged in processes of palletizing, picking, output, container moves, container builds, inventory corrections, receiving of goods, creating warehouse shipments, and posting warehouse shipments.
Ensure schedules are met and quality standards maintained while maximizing labor efficiencies and ensure resources and supplies are used efficiently and conservatively.
Prioritizing labor and equipment needs by scheduling and assigning staff tasks.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to perform all processes accurately.
Conduct meetings with the team and individually to set goals.
Ensure samples are appropriately prepared and shipped.
Must obtain certification on all Baker Boy forklifts.
Use software programs to assist meeting personal and team goals and objectives.
Report all accidents, incidents, and concerns to the supervisor or safety manager immediately.
Assure proper safety protocols are being used at all times.
Know and share company goals and objectives with team members and coach them to achieve success.
Assure process improvements are shared and implemented by all team members.
Assure policies and procedures are followed to ship safe, quality, and legal products.
Assure equipment and facility are appropriately maintained.
Attend to injured team members immediately, obtain medical assistance if necessary, complete proper safety paperwork and act to eliminate reoccurrences.
Embrace change and motivate team members to support change.
Increase personal knowledge and information through educational opportunities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to work with other team leaders, supervisors, and members of management in a harmonious and cooperative manner and contribute positively to the overall decision-making process.
Ability to lead a group of employees by engaging, motivating, directing staff, and solving work-related problems.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures, computers, and current technological innovations in the industry.
Extensive knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs, as demonstrated by successful application of principles while keeping safety at the forefront.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the company, both written and verbal.
An understanding, tact, and willingness to see other points of view and to compromise when needed.
Included would be self-awareness, self-motivation, emotional self-management, empathy, and interpersonal competency.
Ability to think proactively and manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
Must possess above-average English language skills (understanding, speaking, and reading).
Must be able to perform simple math problems, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Bending, stooping, walking, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, and visual skills are required constantly.
Ability to lift 15 to 30 pounds continuously.
Occasional lifting up to 52 pounds.
Working Conditions: The freezer environment often includes cold temperatures of up to -10 and slippery walking surfaces.
