This role exists to complete the day-to-day Human Resource functions, including, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, employee relations and communication, benefits administration, and compliance with all applicable local/state/federal rules and regulations.
Ensure safety compliance with all G&G Garbage, LLC, customers by maintaining all compliance databases and working closely with facility operations manager in all locations to ensure safety procedures are maintained and followed.
Position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
*Responsibilities:* * Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with Director of HR to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
* Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
* Initiates and conducts onboarding of all new hires to include background checks, drug & alcohol screenings, strength & agility, and all DOT regulations when applicable.
* Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
* Assists with administering employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance.
* Updates all employee databases and HR-relevant files according to accepted legal compliance rules and develops necessary reporting for the team as required by law.
* Monitors & maintains employee records, including training sessions, leave of absence, evaluations, new employee data, data changes, and terminations.
Compiles reports as needed.
* Assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
* Assists with employee relations issues with objectivity and professionalism.
* Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
* Assist with implementing training programs and retention activities.
* Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, including hiring, resignations, and terminations.
* Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include Form I-9s and other compliance reviews.
* Ensure local, State and Federal compliance with HSE regulations.
* Assist with HSE incident/injury reporting.
* Provide facility operations managers with monthly & customer safety meetings.
* Maintain and manage training documentation including rosters, tests, training cards, certifications, and schedule recurring training.
* Monitor and update all vendor databases; ISN, PEC/Veriforce, and Avetta * Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions.
Recommend best workplace practices to mitigate hazards and eliminate gaps.
* Ensure compliance with all OSHA standards and guidelines.

*Required Skills:* · A minimum of one year of professional level Human Resources experience * Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration.
* Basic understanding of local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers compensation laws, and EPA requirements * Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to support department projects, policies, goals, and objectives.
* Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
* Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, and cultural backgrounds.
* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills at various organizational levels.
* Self-motivated with demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
*Wage & Hours:* * $18 to $22 – based on experience.
* Scheduled work hours are normally from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT), Monday through Friday.
