Dean, School of Arts and Sciences The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, is seeking a visionary, seasoned, and faith-filled leader for its School of Arts and Sciences.
As the university’s largest faculty, the School of Arts and Sciences has more than 70 full-time professors teaching in 14 academic departments (offering 25 undergraduate majors, 29 minors, 11 pre-professional concentrations, and 4 graduate programs).
The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the School of Arts and Sciences, reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences assumes special responsibility for the School of Arts and Sciences’ unique mission to promote and provide an experience of liberal education throughout the university, ensuring the integration and integrity of the university’s intellectual mission and Catholic identity.
As such, candidates will be invited to demonstrate a vivid sense for the transformative power of the liberal arts and a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary (see https://www.

An earned doctoral degree is required.
