Humanities and Catholic Studies Faculty The University of Mary invites applications for a joint faculty position in Humanities and Catholic Studies, to begin in the fall semester 2024.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank.
Rank is open and area of discipline within the Humanities is open, with preference for English, Communication, oral and written Rhetoric, Journalism, or Art History.
Candidates with demonstrated ability to teach in their discipline, contribute to Catholic Studies interdisciplinary courses, and engage the broader Catholic intellectual tradition are desired.
Applicants must be committed to teaching and researching within their discipline, as well to active participation within the Catholic Studies Program, a vibrant interdisciplinary and apostolic program seeking the education of the whole of a student’s life through community engagement, individual mentoring, and a dedication to initiating students into the Catholic intellectual tradition.

Within Catholic Studies, duties involve teaching broadly, including courses in their discipline, as well as teaching courses and being involved outside the classroom in the activities and events of the Catholic Studies undergraduate and graduate programs.
The teaching load is a 4/4.
Applicants must excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, demonstrate evidence of supporting student formation outside of the classroom, and have an active research agenda.
All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see https://www.

Qualifications Include: Ph.
D.
